The rate of chronic absenteeism in Sacramento area school districts is increasing

The 15 biggest school districts in the Sacramento region all saw increases in chronic absenteeism between 2018-2019 and 2021-2022. Galt Joint Union Elementary, which is the 23rd largest district by enrollment, had their rate of chronically absent students grow by 34.69% between 2018-2019 and 2021-2022.
