The 2022 National Household Travel Survey shows a continued increase in the percentage of all walking trips taken by older adults. Despite this increase, older adults account for a slightly smaller percentage of walking trips than their percentage of the US population, which is 16.5% according to the American Community Survey 2022 5-year estimate.
