Texas ACA participation dips

While 4.2 million Texans selected an Affordable Care Act plan during the 2026 open enrollment period, fewer have paid their first month’s premium as of February compared to the previous year.

Line charts show active enrollment dropped from 3.4 million to 3.3 million from February 2025 to 2026, while open enrollment increased.
