Candidates backed by pro-Israel groups lost in costly Senate races, won in several major House races 

Of the 10 races in which the pro-Israel industry spent the most, the costliest was in Michigan. It also gave $5.1 million to Sen. Susan Collins in Maine, who represented another battleground seat lost by Republicans.
