Pierce County had its highest rate of eviction in six years in 2024

After seeing a downward trend in 2019, more eviction cases have been filed in Pierce County Superior Court in recent years.

A bar graph shows the eviction rates in Tacoma from 2018 to 2024 falling in 2020 and 2021 before rising again in 2022, 2023 and 2024. There were 3,026 evictions reported in 2018, 2,641 in 2019, 717 in 2020, 535 in 2021, 1,981 in 2022, 2,862 in 2023 and 3,366 in 2024.
