Strike Spike

Strikes halted work for a collective 4.1 million days in August, largely because of a strike by 160,000 Hollywood actors that began in July. It was the most since 2000, when a six-month strike by 135,000 commercial actors fueled a spike in work stoppages to a total of 4.2 million days.
