How many intensive care beds are available for coronavirus patients

The COVID Act Now epidemiological model projects that California has 3,231 ICU beds available under normal circumstances, which could be used for severe COVID-19 patients during a coronavirus outbreak. As of June 7, there were 1,301 COVID-19 patients in intensive care throughout the state, meaning 40% of those available beds were filled.
