The floodplain in Frankfort — and where photojournalists saw flooding

Heavy rains brought the Kentucky River to the second-highest level on record in Frankfort, triggering evacuations in parts of the city. Floodwaters engulfed riverfront properties, including the nearby Buffalo Trace Distillery.
