Total spot rates continue to set records to start June strong, though reefer and dry van gains of recent times showed signs of moderating, ticking down a bit. With all the upward pressure brought on by early-year surging fuel costs and, previously, weather disruptions, national average rates have now risen for 20 straight weeks. All-in broker-posted rates were nearly 50% higher than in the same week last year, and excluding a calculated surcharge they're still about 46% higher.
