Empty nest baby boomers own more large homes than millennial parents.

According to a recent report from the real estate firm Redfin, millennials with kids own about 14% of homes with three bedrooms or more nationwide, while baby boomers without children at home own 28.2%. The gap is even wider in Los Angeles.
