Yes Bank emerged as the inverse outlier, reporting a 1.33% decline in savings account deposits but a 27% rise in current account deposits on a quarterly basis.

The lender had on June 1 reduced savings account interest rates by 100 basis points, from 5% to 4%, on accounts with balances of upto Rs 1 lakh. Customers with balances between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 10 lakh currently earn 5% whilst customers with balances between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 300 crore earn an interest of 6%.
