A wastewater application system run by Dalton Utilities, along with discharges from other sources, are sending toxic "forever chemicals" into the Conasauga River, a pair of lawsuits allege. Downriver, the city of Rome says it's having to invest millions in upgrades to remove the chemicals from its water supply.
