Buford Highway sinkhole
Drivers were asked to take alternate routes after a road surface collapse in the northbound lanes of the 3500-3600 block of the busy thoroughfare.
The sinkhole was reported around 6:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the highway just past Briarwood Road, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
