Fire station areas in Melbourne's outer growth areas performed worse than central and eastern areas.
In many of these areas, the number of emergency incidents was also growing. Fire station areas in grey met or exceeded response time targets in 2025 (Q4).
A coloured map of Greater Melbourne which shows inner suburban and eastern suburbs were more likely to meet the FRV response time targets, while the worst performers were in the outer north-west and south-east.
