The most common age for Michigan residents? Age 60. There were more than 143,000 people in the state who were 60, according to the 2021 U.S. Census Bureau estimates. Ages 59 and 58 were the next most common.

The data is for July 2021, but was released in summer 2022. The chart does not include the 187,508 people who were 85+.
