Based on a new model, the University of Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation projects Pennsylvania will see 8,607 deaths from COVID-19 by Aug. 4, 2020, up sharply from earlier projections. The upper and lower lines represent the worst and best case scenarios of the projected daily death toll, according to their model.
