Low income monthly pass ridership on Calgary Transit

Low income transit pass ridership has grown in Calgary over the past three years. Total low income pass use has increased from 588,900 in January of 2021, to 2,073,183 in January of 2024 — a 252 per cent increase over that period.

In 2024, there has been an 8.2 per cent increase in low income pass ridership, with an increase to 2,243,336 uses in March.
