Colleges vary in whether they report enrollment of all campuses and programs together or separately. Institutions are grouped by the 2018 Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Institutions classified as two-year or four-year special-focus institutions and tribal colleges were omitted, as were for-profit colleges.
