Maximum allowed rent increases

Since 2019, Oregon has capped rent increases for buildings at least 15 years old at 7% plus inflation.

In 2023, after high inflation caused the allowable increase to soar, lawmakers passed emergency legislation to create a new cap of 10% annually.
