Some New York Carry Applicants Wait More Than a Year

The Police Department has yet to render decisions on many applications filed since the summer 2024.

*Applications that were neither approved nor disapproved as of October 1, 2025. Some applications may not have received a decision because of factors beyond the Police Department's control.
