The Colorado BLM has held 38 oil and gas lease sales since 2008, leasing more than 660,000 acres at an average of $185 an acre, totaling $83.6 million in revenue for the last decade. The State of Colorado received 49 percent - roughly $41 million - of that oil and gas leasing revenue.
