Percentage of positive RSV tests higher compared to the same time over the last 5 years

In the third week of October, 15.3% of RSV tests came back positive from state surveillance data.

RSV detection data come from clinical sentinel laboratories throughout California. It should be viewed as a preliminary “snapshot” of activity for each surveillance week. Data have been shifted so that Week 1 aligns across seasons.
