Red States Hit Hardest by CDC Grant Terminations
Before Democratic-led jurisdictions filed lawsuits in April to retain their Centers for Disease Control and Prevention grants, terminations more closely resembled the distribution of CDC funding across the nation. After injunctions were issued in May and June, red states lost a greater share of public health infrastructure funding and support.
