This table shows housing status and supports for people in the 4+ Urgent Visits for SMI subgroup and the entire sample. Individuals in the 4+ urgent visits for SMI subgroup had higher rates of homelessness and having spent any days in a shelter, and also had higher rates of currently in permanent supportive housing and having an active housing referral.
Notes: Number of SMI (Serious Mental Illness) visits is defined as the sum of ED visits with an SMI diagnosis, PES visits, and urgent care or inpatient mental health visits in the fiscal year.
