Texas reading scores before and after state takeover

Texas took over Marlin and Shepherd school districts in 2017 and 2019, and Houston in 2023. The percentage of third graders who approached grave level reading scores were mixed one year before and a few years after the takeovers.

Baseline scores measure reading scores the year before that Texas took over the different school districts.
