Want to write your own ticket? Earn an MBA from Wharton or Harvard – and then move to the Southwest. That’s what 62 graduates from these schools did in 2019 – and earned $154,545 (Wharton) and $153,603 (Harvard). This ranks 2nd for both schools in terms of pay. Here, Booth also topped the $150K mark – increasing base pay over the previous year by $23K. Of course, the top schools weren’t the only ones scoring big paydays in the Southwest. NYU Stern MBA pulled in $143,667 – a $21,500 bump. Washington Olin grads averaged $128,857, an $18K increase that includes a max base of $180K. This might be something for 2020 grads at Stanford GSB and Columbia Business School to consider. Neither placed enough students in the Southwest to merit pay being reported. In terms of high-end pay, Harvard Business School topped the list, with one lucky grad negotiating a $315K base. Both Wharton and Texas McCombs followed up with $200K bases.
