Lead has been found at dangerous levels in at least 30 Oakland schools
When lead levels at water fountains and faucets at OUSD schools go above 5 parts per billion, OUSD is required to shut them down and fix them. Tests this spring showed levels of between 5 and 930 ppb at these schools. If a school isn't listed here, testing is in progress. The nearly 40 schools where we know lead was found at dangerous levels.
