The red line represents 2022, and shows a peak of 16 reported scams in May, a decrease in June and an upward trend going into July.
Data notes: The data was obtained by a records request through the FBI Tampa Division. The Internet Crime Complaint Center also publishes an annual data report with an overview of all cyber crime activity (linked). The data displayed only includes reported real-estate scams by victims in Hillsborough County, and should be considered a snapshot of total count and loss amounts for victims.
