Racial Generation Gap

The racial generation gap is defined as the difference in the percentage of people of color between the youth (under age 18) and senior (age 65 and older) populations. Data for 2021 represent a 2017 through 2021 average. San Luis Obispo is not one of the 150 largest metro areas, it was included in the analysis for comparison.
