Central Coast Men Are More Likely Than Other California Dads to Take Paid Leave

During the first half of 2023, men in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz counties took paid family leave at the highest rates.

Note: Birth counts for first six months estimated using preliminary birth data through July. Counties in gray had fewer than 10 claims filed by men in either or both of the first and second quarters of 2023.
