NCAA Tournament results since 2003

A look at how teams that ended the season in the top 10 in the KenPom offensive efficiency ratings but outside the top 100 in defensive efficiency have fared in the past 20 NCAA tournaments. Kentucky is the only such team at this point in the 2023-24 season.

Note: LSU was 4th in offensive efficiency and 179th in defensive efficiency in 2020, when the NCAA Tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That LSU team was widely projected as an 8 seed.
