Home insurance premiums vary widely across states depending on the home's risks and value, but the statewide average offers a snapshot of high risk areas, as Insurify's 2023 data shows.
US map shows highest average premiums are in Florida ($10,996) Louisiana ($6,354), with high rates above $3,000 per year in most of the Plains and Southeastern states. The lowest rates in Vermont ($918) and generally in the Northeast and Northwest.
