A chloropleth map showing the estimated percentage of people with autism or an intellectual disability that are served by a specific state's 1915(c) Medicaid waivers. States that are shaded in a darker color serve a higher percentage of that population.
Data are estimates based on states’ populations and estimated prevalence of autism, and are computed based on Medicaid 1915(c) waivers as of 2010. States colored gray (Arizona, Rhode Island and Vermont) did not use any waivers during the study period, from 2004 to 2015.
