Black firearm deaths in Missouri have disproportionately skyrocketed compared to gun deaths for white residents

In 2019, the firearm-death rate for Black Missourians was 57.7 for every 100,000 Black residents. That was nearly three times the national rate for Black firearm deaths.

Rates are age adjusted and represent firearm deaths per 100,000 residents.
