Are Minnesota winters becoming more volatile?

University of Minnesota researchers are studying that question as more Minnesotans take notice of what's now being called “winter weather whiplash” — large swings between high and low temperatures, or dry and wet weather, often just days apart. This winter had some notable temperature swings.
