Snapshot of back-to-school lunch grocery prices from Aug. 14th, 2025

We created a 19-item grocery list for back-to-school lunches and compared prices at seven Fort Worth grocery stores: Aldi, H-E-B, Kroger, Target, Tom Thumb, Walmart, and WinCo. At each store, we photographed the price of every item.

Prices were recorded on August 13 for Kroger, Tom Thumb, Target and Walmart, and on August 14 for Aldi, Winco and H-E-B. These prices reflect a snapshot from those dates and may change at any time.
