Three years ago, McKinsey had slipped to 3rd. Over the past two years, the firm has roared back, holding the to spots for two years running, thanks to besting all consulting firms in 11 of 22 quality of work and life measures -- not to mention earning the highest marks in prestige. Bain & Company leapfrogged BCG for the 2nd spot, with Deloitte Consulting and Oliver Wyman retaining the 4th and 5th spots. PwC Advisory Services and Accenture climbed into the Top 10, at the expense of L.E.K. Consulting and the Brattle Group. GE Healthcare made the biggest splash, debuting at 15th.
